VISION AND VALUES

Children's ministry at Koontz Lake Missionary Church builds on the knowledge that both home and church are initiated by God and important in teaching spiritual values to children. We plan ways to partner with parents to introduce each child to the love of Jesus as their Savior and friend. Our curriculum provides families with tools they can use at home to reinforce and apply what they learn.

The primary principles that guide our approach to family ministry are:

  • Nothing is more important that someone's relationship to God.
  • No one has more potential to influence a child's relationship to God than a parent.
  • No one has more potential to influence the parent than the church.
  • The church's potential to influence a child dramatically increases when it partners with a parent.
  • The parent's potential to influence a child dramatically increases when that parent partners with the church.

NURSERY

During first service families will worship together in the sanctuary. We have activity kits for small children that can be used during the service. These are located across from the nursery counter. Parents may use the nursery for changing or calming a child. The service is played through the audio in the nursery. During second service the nursery is open, there are volunteers ready to welcome your little one.

BEGINNER PROMISELAND

Beginner Promiseland is for children age 2 through Kindergarten. Children may join us in Promiseland at 9:20 central time.  We will begin our time together with free play. When all our friends arrive we will do an activity that leads us into the Bible story.  We finish our time together with craft and worship time.  The curriculum used is called First Look. Lessons and activities focus on three basic truths that we want children to learn during their first years of life as a foundation for a lifelong relationship to God. Beginner parents can now get an app, Parent Cue, for iPhone, iPad or Android that has questions, activities, videos, podcasts and articles to help them use everyday moments to reinforce what children are learning

at Promiseland.
