Students and adults recap The Jerusalem Project, a week long local mission experience.
VIBE is our main weekly gathering for students in grades 7-12. The goal of VIBE is to help students have vibrant relationships with God and others. Join us for group games, worship music, an interactive/relevant message, and a time to discuss what was learned and pray together (small groups). VIBE meets August through May at 5:45 p.m. Central (slow) time on Sunday nights.
There is a time before VIBE that students can come and hang out with their friends and small group leaders. We call this time The Gathering. Snacks and drinks are sold during this time at The Gathering Cafe.
Sunday Nights 5:45-7:15 p.m. Central (slow) time
Doors open at 5:15 for The Gathering
Middle School students (grades 7-8) meet at 9:30 am for Sunday School. This time is highly interactive, encouraging middle school students to work out what it means to be a person who follows Christ.
High School students use this time to serve in different areas. Some will be small group leaders in the children's ministry or in Middle School Sunday School. Others might serve in the nursery or in a variety of other capacities. There are plenty of opportunities to serve.
Only students who attend first hour worship (8 am) will be able to serve. Otherwise we would encourage to attend our 9:30 worship hour.
"...and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8b).
Our mission trips are based on Acts 1:8. We have a three year rotation where we start in our Jerusalem (Koontz Lake and surrounding towns). The following year we do something in the Continental US (Judea/Samaria). The third year we do something international (to the ends of the earth).
This year is our Jerusalem Project. We will stay at the church in campers/tents, help at Vacation Bible School, and work with people in the community. In the past we have helped clean up yards, painted, etc...
DATES: June 19-24
